A Message From Ty Masterson

Kansas is home. I chose to raise my family here because of the promise Kansas makes to its people: the promise of safe communities, a low cost of living, and a shot at achieving the American Dream.
Because liberal Democrats have governed in Topeka for 15 of the last 23 years, especially the 4 years Laura Kelly was in alignment with Joe Biden, that promise has been broken.
In 2024, there were 35 violent crimes
every single day in Kansas. Our state ranks below liberal-run states like New York and Illinois for public safety. 60% of 4th graders are below proficiency in math. 72% are below proficiency in reading. We have the 16th highest tax burden in the country.
In the last 25 years, more than 200,000 people have fled Kansas. The liberal policies pushed by failed Democratic governors are driving families and opportunity out of our state.
Kansas is not living up to its potential – or its promises. That’s why I am running for Governor. To Take Back Kansas.
More than twenty years ago, I ran for Andover City Council with one clear mission: give back to the community that has given so much to me. My service is rooted in unwavering core values: honor your word, live your faith, and always put the people you serve first.
As President of the Kansas Senate, I’m proud of what we have done for the people of Kansas. We’ve cut taxes by nearly $2 billion. We’ve shut down wokeness by banning DEI in our higher education system, men from competing in women’s sports, and transgender surgeries for minors. And we’ve preserved the integrity of our elections with commonsense measures to protect the ballot box.
But we have a lot more work to do.
After taking the fight to Laura Kelly in the Legislature, I’ve seen that the big change comes from the big seat. But big change will take more than talk. It will take a proven fighter who knows exactly what this moment demands.
Kansas is worth fighting for. That’s why I’m running for governor. Together, we can save the great state we choose to call home.
